Museum is a web server application.  A web browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox is required for searching and administration.  Museum also has a separate Windows Client install which can be installed on each users machine.

The Museum server software contains an embedded web server.  This means it does not require any third party software (e.g. Apache Web server, IIS) to run, as its all built in.   The server must be running at all times for Museum to work.

Museum Client

The museum client can be download from the Museum server once its up and running.  For details read here.

Outlook Addin:

The Museum Client Outlook Addin allows users to submit emails directly to Museum.  Users can right click on emails and folders to submit them.

Windows Explorer Shell Extension:

The Windows explorer shell extension installs a right click menu in Windows Explorer to submit documents and directories into Museum.

Museum Monitor:

The Museum Monitor program runs in the background on the client machines.  It is in charge of automated email/document submission from Outlook email folders and file system directories.
